Who we are
Coventry and Warwickshire Air Quality People’s Chamber (CWAQPC) is a new organisation initiated by the local community led by Professor Reza Ziarati with support from residence associations, local innovators, pollution experts, green businesses, local councils, medical profession, engineering and scientific professional bodies including the two local universities. The chamber is open to all organisations and individuals to initiate ideas or seek help to implement tangible and practical projects at local, national and international levels. Key terms

Data Enrichment : A process used to enhance, refine or otherwise improve existing data.

Data Protection Officer: The individual appointed by us locally to carry out certain responsibilities and functions in respect of privacy and data protection.
Data Retention : The policies and processes used within our platform for determining the time period for archiving and storing of personal data.
Data Subject: The natural person that the personal data refers to.
Direct Marketing: A form of advertising in which companies provide physical marketing materials to consumers to communicate information about a product or service.
Encryption: The method by which plaintext or any other type of data is converted from a readable form to an encoded version that can only be decoded by another entity if they have access to a decryption key.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here: https://www.cwairquality.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

We may combine such information with information we already have about you. We will use your billing information linked to your CW-AQPC account for campaigns. The processing of campaigns will be subject to the terms, conditions, and privacy policies of the campaign processor in addition to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

We may use information about you for various purposes, including to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Platform Services;
- Provide our services, process transactions, and send you related information, including confirmations and invoices;
- Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages;

We may also share aggregated or de-identified information, which cannot reasonably be used to identify you. The Platform Services may offer a social network third party registration feature to create and build your CW-AQPC profile from a third-party website such as LinkedIn. If you choose to use this feature, we will use the personal information you have input to such social network to build your CW-AQPC account profile (i.e. name, email, work experience and education). The disclosure, access, and collection of any of your information transferred from such social network will be subject to the terms and conditions of that site. We will use, store, and disclose any of your imported information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. It is your sole responsibility to review and correct any information extracted from any third-party website for which we add registration functionality in the future. By using the social network third party registration feature, you certify that you are authorized to access and use the social media account without violating any terms and conditions of that site. Connecting your social media account will in no way change or affect the relationship between you and the social media network and your relationship will be solely governed by any agreements you have with the social media network. You can end the connection between the CW-AQPC Site and your social media account in your settings [on the Site]. If you terminate your relationship with a social media network, CW-AQPC will stop receiving information from the account.
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.
